This is the same area in 2009. The black/yellow dots are all permitted Marcellus Shale wells. Most of them have been drilled and you can see the disturbance of the surface. (Not all of them have been drilled or necessarily will be drilled, but others, particularly additional horizontal wells, are likely to be permitted.)
