Spring Newsletter Now Online
The March/April 2008 edition of Surface Owners' News is now available online. Many of you already received a copy in the mail. If you didn't please check it out.
Where to Get Contact Information for Commissioners & Commission Candidates
The newsletter included a questionnaire for county commissioners and commission candidates. Because a complete list of commission candidates in all 55 counties is not readily available, we are relying on our members to ask these candidates, as well as sitting commissioners who are not up for re-election, to complete the questionnaire. We want to know where they stand on issues addressed in the Surface Owners' Bill of Rights. Some of you have already contacted us to provide us with details of conversations with or copies of letters from your commissioners. Thank you!
If you haven't contacted your commissioners and commission candidates please do so, and encourage them to share their views on surface owners' rights. Contact information is available through your county clerk. A complete list of commissioners for each county can be found in the County Commissioners Association of WV (CCAWV) Directory beginning on page 20.
