So here is the finished down hole product.  If done right problems can happen, at least temporarily, but usually do not.  An unskillful job, or malfeasance such as failing to wait the 8 hours for the cement to dry, can cause serious and long lasting problems.  A surface owner who is knowledgeably paying attention and letting the driller know it by checking cement tickets etc., will certainly help deter problems.
