West Virginia Supreme Court rules for surface owners and WVSORO on well pads

This West Virginia Supreme Court decision is the most important thing that has happened for surface owners since horizontal drilling began!  In short, the surface owner’s consent and agreement is needed for their land to be used for a well pad for a horizontal well — or the surface owner can just say “No”.
